Cheltenham Ladies Day Look for #ColourMeMarch!

This year, Cheltenham Racecourse is holding a competition called Colour Me March for Ladies Day on the 11th. I was approached and asked to write a blog post on my favourite look for Ladies Day and what i’m going to be wearing! #ColourMeMarch is a best dressed competition and who doesnt like a good ol competition!
I absolutletly love the races, and Ladies Day is one of the most exciting days! Its another excuse to get really dressed up and look all fabulous! Here is my look and a little bit of inspiration that I have put together for you guys!

My look is very Classic and Glamourous - Perfect for an event like this! Its that time of year when its not to hot, but we are starting to see Spring/Summer coming our way. So this is a perfect outfit to bring us into the Spring Season.

Prioritys first - Makeup! As I mentioned we are slowly, but surely heading into Spring so I have gone for a fresh look with a slight smokey eye to jazz things up a bit!

I used Nars 'Sheer Glow in the shade Santa Fe for my base. I then contoured with a touch of Nars Laguna Bronzer. To add a dash of Colour to my cheeks I used Sleeks blush in Rose Gold. For my eyes I use a selection of shades from my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette to create this smokey effect.

Now for my outfit - I’m wearing this gorgeous metallic dress from French Connection, along with my favourite blue ombre clutch from Osprey. Sunglasses are an absolute must when going to the races, espeshcially if its Sunny! I’ve gone for the classic Ray-Bans to top of this whole look, along with my Micheal Kors Watch. Classic, yet Simple!

I hope you found this helpful and inspirational for any events you have coming up or perhaps you may be attending the Cheltenham Ladies Day.
I’d love to see what you wear, and if you’re interested in finding more info, head over to www.thefestival15.co.uk/Colourmemarch or follow them on twitter at @Colourmemarch.
Thank you for reading!

REVIEW: Maybelline Forever Strong Nail Varnish

I took a trip to Boots on a mission to find the latest range from Maybelline. The Forever Strong Super Stay Nail Varnish. *Thats quite a mouthful* I first heard of these varnishes when Amelia Liana  mentioned them in her July favourites. Go check it out by Clicking here. Her reconmendations are always spot on!

I bought the shade 'Orange Punch'. It applies like a dream, with a curved brush giving you precision when applying the colour. The shades seem really rich and you can achieve full bold colour in just two coats. It also has a nice high shine to it and the formula is enriched with Iron and Calcium. I knew their claims of '7 days' would be a bit far fetched, however I am pleasantly surprised. My polish would usually last 1-2 days maximum before it starts to chip straight off. However this is the first polish that has stayed on for so long. I have had it on 6 days and you can see from the picture below its slightly chipped but is still pretty good, considering I didnt even apply a base or topcoat.

I have fallen head over heels in this polish and I can honestly say its gone straight to number one in my collection now, it has well and truly knocked off my beloved Essie polishes. This is because the product has the perfect formula, Color range and of course the longevity. Its pretty much faultless!

All in all I will deffinatly be checking out what other colours they have in the range, as its amazing and at £4.49. Its deffinetly one to add to the wish list, as it will fail to disapoint.

Already tried and test? What are your thoughts?

#ProjectBareAll

Well here goes...today is the day I bare all for the internet. *And by bare all...I meant my face. Don't worry!*

Usually you will see me plastered in a full face of makeup, as well as the addition of a pair of false lashes. I wear a full face of makeup and lashes everyday. I guess I feel like this is my shield in society. I dont feel myself without makeup. I hate to say it, but it makes me become a different person and gives me a personality. This will cause some contriversity, but personally I dont feel myself unless I have makeup on and I wish it was different. Dont get me wrong, I wish I could go out bare faced everyday and still be confident enough to walk with my head held high. As I get older im getting better at being comfortable in my own skin, but Its hard as all I can think about is how people are judging my natural self. If perhaps there were more women that went bare faced I would too, as it would seem like a typical thing to do. But we must all be in the same boat, as I hardly see anyone without make-up on.

This brings me nicely onto why I have written this post. I come across the wonderful Megan from Thumbelina Lillie who has set up the project #ProjectBareAll. She has written an amazing and inspiring post encouraging women everywhere to be confident in their own skin and feel beautiful for who they are without layers upon layers of make-up. You can read more about this post by  Clicking here. After reading her post I couldnt help but get involved. It takes a lot of courage for me to go make-up free on a Sunday supermarket trip, so it certainly wasnt easy to publicly put myself out there on the internet. I enjoy applying makeup, however I agree we all need to rely a little bit less on it and show our natural selves more often. Going makeup free has so many benefits and not just for your skin, but also for your well being and the confidence you will improve on.

So c'mon ladies lets unite and together we shall change society forever!! *A bit too early on for that* But please do join me and lets take off our makeup shields to reveal how beautiful and confident we can be in the skin we are in.  Get involved on this journey and upload any bare faced pictures of yourself to twitter and instagram using the hashtag #ProjectBareAll.

This isnt my typical post and is completly out my comfort zone, so I'd love to know your opinions in the comments down below.

As always thanks so much for reading
